A rugged, all-in-one standalone access controller combining a backlit 3×4 keypad with a built-in 125 kHz EM proximity reader. No control panel required — ideal for single-door applications in commercial, industrial, and residential installations.

Compatible Credentials

The AC-Q42SB reads 125 kHz EM-format proximity credentials. Compatible card and fob types include:

• EM4100/EM4102 proximity cards (standard credit-card size)
• EM-format key fobs
• Any 125 kHz EM-compatible credential from Rosslare or third-party suppliers

Note: Not compatible with 13.56 MHz (MIFARE/HID iCLASS) credentials. Confirm your existing card technology before purchase.

Power Requirements

• Input: 8–30 V AC or 8–28 V DC
• Current draw: approx. 100 mA (standby) — confirm against your PSU rating
• Wide-range input accepts most standard access control power supplies
• Suitable for use with 12 V or 24 V DC systems commonly used in AU/NZ installations

Relay / Output Use Cases

The built-in 2 A Form C relay can switch a broad range of electric strikes, magnetic locks, and door controllers directly:

• Electric strikes — fail-secure or fail-safe (check strike voltage/current draw)
• Magnetic locks (maglocks) — via relay + appropriate fail-safe wiring
• Electric bolt locks
• Auxiliary outputs — alarm panels, lighting circuits, gate controllers
• Tamper output — connect to alarm panel for anti-tamper monitoring

10 programmable auxiliary modes let you tailor output behaviour (timed, toggle, momentary, monitor) to your installation.
